Supporting Women in Rural Bangladesh

The Jacksons works with talented handicraft women in rural Bangladesh. The women have the option to work at the community centre or at home to fit in with their family lives'. The women are paid directly. We're proud to support the education, healthcare and livelihoods of the craftspeople in Bangladesh who have become Louise’s “extended family”.

Another benefit of jute is that it is very strong- our bags can carry between 10 kgs -14 kgs. Each bag contains 450m of jute. Our jute bags are handmade and no machinery is used at all throughout the process, except for the dying. Only Azo free dyes are used.

Shipping & returns

Orders ship from our Santa Barbara shop within 24 hours, and orders placed by 11am PT usually ship the same day. Shipping is free on orders over $95, otherwise $9.95. You can also pick up at our shop at 17 W. Gutierrez St., Santa Barbara, usually ready in 2 hours.

Return anything within 30 days, even after you have washed it. Turkish cotton gets softer with every wash, so give it a few. If you still don't love it, send it back for a refund.
